Every now and then, the CGI effects inGarfield: The Movieare less than perfect--which makes you realize how astonishingly seamless the rest of the effects are. When Garfield's owner, Jon (Breckin Meyer,Clueless), agrees to take in a homeless dog so as to flirt with a sexy veterinarian (Jennifer Love Hewitt,I Know What You Did Last Summer), Garfield does his best to oust the dog from the house. But when a greedy television performer (Stephen Tobolowsky,Bossa Nova) kidnaps the mutt for his own nefarious purposes, Garfield sets out on a rescue mission.Garfieldis a terrible movie, yet there's something weirdly compelling in its awfulness. Bill Murray (Rushmore,Ghostbusters), who voices the fat cat, has mastered a comic style that wallows fondly in ridiculousness. Perhaps, seduced by the siren call of Murray's voice, the audience can only marvel at the sublime junk of our culture.--Bret Fetzer

Then one day garfeild kick Oddie out of the house and Oddie was lost. My opinion is that it is worth wathing this movie.This movie makes you wonder what's goingto happen next.The length of the movie is two hours
The expected one-liners Since 1978, I have been following the exploits and adventures of Garfield and Odie. When the movie came out, I wasn't sure how this was going to work as it was a blend of animation and live-action. Although Garfield was computer generated and Odie wasn't, that didn't seem to hinder the flow of the film.
However, Garfield has a history of one-liners, which is expected when remembering that this comes from comic strip that must come up with a funny line in three or four frames. In the movie, the writers seem compelled to force all the most famous one-liners into the movie. This made the story feel a little sluggish at times.
Missing from the story, as well as the comic strip, is Lyman, who was the original owner of Odie. I don't know of any reason for this, but it doesn't hurt the story at all.
If you obsess about the comic strip, then you will see this movie and will ask yourself why some things are missing. However, you will get the character you love with the voice of Bill Murray. After seeing the movie, you will always read the Garfield cartoon with Bill Murray's voice. It seems to fit just right.

Imagine you were a cat. A fat cat. Are you imaging that you are a cat. I am. Imagine your owner gets a new pet a dog to be exact. Well what would you do? Well this is what Garfield does in Garfield the movie. You have herd of it right?
Well Garfield the movie is one of the best movie's I have seen in along time. I know that my family and I enjoyed it. If you are a kid or an adult you will love this movie. This movie is inspirational. Sad but funny at the same time like when oldie runs Away. That was sad right? But when Garfield and oldie dance around then they go out side dancing then the two cats see them and say " look at Garfield and oldie they must be friends now''. Garfield knocks oldie away from him.
This movie is also sad like when oldie runs away because he comes out to comfort Garfield. But Garfield runs in the door and locks oldie out then a motorcycle came and oldie fold him. Until the guy though a paper and the dog followed the paper to a women's Steps.
The next morning when the women found him. The animation of this movie was one of the best I've seen in along time. Even though there is only one animation, which is Garfield, it is great. They make him look so real the way he moves his mouth it looks just like john when he is talking.
This movie is the best I've seen in a long time. I would recommend this movie to any one little or small. I leave you with this word go jump in your car but do not go over the speed limit you will not regret it.
