GOOD cd! 1. "Greater Is He" (5 out of 5..definitely one of my favorite songs off the album)
2. "Think About That" (5 out of 5..beautiful to think on whatsoever things are lovely, are good report, are praiseworthy..."
3. "Somebody Loves You" (4.5 out of 5..thank you JESUS for your love!)
5. "More" (4.5..more of THEE and less of me Lord)
6. "Nothing Is Impossible" (5 out of 5..my FAVORITE cut off the album! its such a pick-me-upper)
7. "OverJoyed" (4 out of 5...the joy of the LORD)
8. "What Would I Do" (5 out of 5..i love this ballad!)
9. "Superman"...this song is out of place (?) She's definitely not talking about JESUS
10. "In Christ Alone" (4 out of 5)
OVERALL, she has a nice voice and I'm glad i purchased this album (although 7 years after its initial release)
Good enough for anyone's CD player or MP3 player Better known as being one of the four members of Avalon, Janna Long made an independent venture way back in 2002 (was it really 7 years ago?). Her self-titled disc showcases her excellent vocal talents.
1. Greater Is He: What a better way to start a disc with this head-bopping, catchy tune showcasing not only Janna's superb vocals but also God's omnipotence and ever present loving arms. 5/5
2. Think About That: Taking inspiration from Philippians, this R&B infused tune revels in the simple joys and pleasures of life. Janna's vocals are up to the task, easily taking "pleasure" in singing this one. 5/5
3. Somebody Loves You: A song sung from God's point of view, there really isn't much to latch onto here. Janna does a good job, but I feel she doesn't take this one as far as she did the previous two. 3/5
4. More: Displaying her desire to have "More" of God in her life, Janna sings this one with tenderness and love. She pours her all into this one, really taking this slower song and singing it from her heart. Not particularly catchy, but the lyrics are good and Janna really shines. 4/5
5. Nothing Is Impossible: When life gets you down, you don't need to fall on your rear, you can cling to God's love and promise to be able to do the "Impossible" (also based on a Philippians verse). The lyrics are a little corny (particularly the first verse), but the tune is catchy and Janna does a good job. 4/5
6. Call: If "you've got nothing left to lose", "Call" out to Christ and "He will catch you when you fall". A slower, more personal song, Janna sings this one tenderly. Not one of my favorites, but a beautiful message sung with tenderness and emotion. 3.5/5
7. Overjoyed: A song so catchy and upbeat that it was remade in Avalon's "The Creed", Janna really throws herself into this song about finding life's greatest joy, love in Christ. My favorite song on the disc. 5/5
8. What Would I Do?: Do you ever look back and wonder what would have happened had X not happened? This song takes that concept and wonders "What would I be if I never found Christ?" Co-written by Janna Long, this song is a very introspective, personal look at how and what things would be like. 3.5/5
9. Superman: No, it's not super theological, but it's so darn cute, how could we diss it? "Superman" is a romantic tribute to Janna's husband, Greg Long, who makes a rap apperance. The obvious love Janna has for Greg and her desire for Greg to be her "Superman" is what makes this song adorable. 4/5
10. In Christ Alone: And if you think Janna did this all herself, Janna corrects you with this song about how Christ alone gave her the strength and blessings in her life. A moving song augmented with Janna's beautiful vocals, this is not my favorite, but it doesn't keep me from getting goosebumps whenever I hear it. 3.5/5
A solid effort, this disc will be at home in anyone's CD player or mp3 player.

*C.S. Light*Classic Janna Definitely something you want to look into if you are an Avalon fan, and you like women who can belt it out! Janna is one of a kind, and she really shows her love for God in this album! Her duet with Greg in the "Superman" track, is a classic anthem for girls nowadays. Make sure you get this album!awesome stuff!!! This is a great album!!! I bought it simply because Janna is in Avalon, and when i played it for the first time i was like, "Wow. this is GREAT stuff!" Some of my favorite songs include "Greater is He" "Think About That" "Call" "Overjoyed" and "Superman." janna rocks! This album is a great mix of r-and-b, pop and some techno influence. Janna's voice just blows me away-she has such a soulful quality to her vocals. Every track on this cd is absolutely fantastic! This is a must have cd if you are also a fan of the group Avalon. Awesome job, Janna!
