Hamtarois an English-language adaptation of the 2000 seriesTottoko Hamtaro(Hamtaro the Hamster). With his outsized round head, huge eyes, big ears, and tiny limbs, Hamtaro is another aggressively cute little character in the tradition of Hello Kitty and Pikachu. In "Hamtaro, Please Come Home," his owner Laura and her parents move into a new house in the suburbs. While they're unpacking, Hamtaro sneaks out to explore and starts making friends with other hamsters: nervous Oxnard, pushy Boss, and pretty Bijou. (The neighborhood is apparently overrun with the little rodents.) The episodes quickly fall into a pattern: Laura socializes with her new classmates--most of whom also have hamsters--while Hamtaro secretly meets his pals, the Ham-Hams, in their underground clubhouse.Hamtarois a harmless entertainment for preschoolers, although their older siblings may dismiss it as saccharine and sappy. Hamtaro is a GREAT child anime!! People may think that "Hamtaro" is simply a silly, children show, but that is not the case. At some points, the show can be VERY entertaining, and intersting. Yes, the show is mainly targeted to a younnger audience, but the adventures, and life lessons, that Hamtaro and his adorable freinds experience can be very beneficial. My sister is a HUGE fan, and enjoys every show available. I recommend this DVD to anyone out there who has kids or is looking for a sweet, enjoyable, viewing expierence. HBP. "HAM-Ha!!"
Hamtaro is the only hamster I like Hamtaro is better than a real hamster. The show is good for anyone. It's repetitive but understandably so because of the target audience. However I like the games rather than the show. I recommend this show to anyone who adores cute things. A perfect pokemon substitute.Ham-Ha! This is a cool-a-rooni dvd!
