Based on a popularmangaby Kenichi Sonoda, this three-part original animation video follows the adventures of two outrageous heroines: crack shot and part-time bounty hunter Rally Vincent and her blond sidekick, Minnie May Hopkins, who specializes in explosives. They operate a gun shop on an otherwise quiet Chicago side street and share a suburban house that resembles an arsenal. Bill Collins, an officer with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, draws the duo against their will into an investigation of a gunrunning ring. The operation begins with a simple stakeout but grows darker and more violent as Rally, Minnie May, and Bill take on Major Radinov, a former KGB agent turned freelance assassin, who insists on being paid in heroin. Radinov murders government agents, informants, and the chief of the Chicago ATF with steely indifference. She leads Rally and Minnie May in a high-speed car chase that gives new meaning to the termroad rage, then plays a deadly game of cat and mouse in an old Beaux Arts building. Handsomely designed and skillfully executed,Gunsmith Catsis slick, fast-paced, and extremely violent. Director Takeshi Mori builds suspense and tension so effectively, he imbues the shootouts and stabbings with an impact many gorier anime series lack. Not rated; suitable for ages 16 and up for occasional profanity and explicit violence.--Charles Solomon
gunsmith kitties i like this small episodes one shot. The epsiodes aren't very long but the animations are very well drawn. I feel the animation still stands up today. The series is worth getting if you haven't seen this by some sake of bad luck. anybody into anime has this one. it's a no brainer. no too sleazy, yet not too mundane. based on the manga which was more raunchy. there's lots of action and blood in this one and even kawaii for those that like that, even a few guys for the chicks. pick up the comics and this title, now on dvd. good art from a early time in the anime eras. my favorite parts off the top of my head would be the opening animation intro and song and most of the tight car animations in this one.
Guns and grenades That should be the name of the two woman wreckin' crew. Gunsmith cats is about two freelance bounty hunter chicks who happen to take the wrong job and piss off the wrong people. In retaliation the one behind the scenes hires an ex KBG who is an expert in espionage. The result is car chases, kidnappings and shootouts. These episodes have lots of action but lack in the gore which isn't too bad. The animation is a bit outdated, but its not eye poison. This is a pretty good series if your a collector, this belongs in your collection.Gunsmith Cats It was a really good anime not many eps. but very good over all ^.^ Hope you enjoy it when you buy it
