This big, fat theatrical bomb has a lot going for it. There's the three leads, Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker, playing three resurrected witches who wreak havoc on Salem, Massachusetts, 300 hundred years after they were hung. There's music, special effects, and magic. There's a surprisingly horror-filled plot. Whoops, hold up on that last one. It's probably the extremes that this film goes to (displaying a Disney label), such as the witches sucking the life out of a little girl in the first five minutes, that put the brakes on any success forHocus Pocus. Older children, however, in the 8 and up range should get a kick out of all the weird goings-on. It's a good measure of Halloween thrills and chills.--Keith Simanton
My favorite Hocus Pocus has been my favorite movie since I was 6 and I'm now 13. I watch this movie over and over again and never get tired of it. I highly recomend this movie to anyone. The charecters are great and the story is creative. It follows Max,Dani,and Alison in Salem,MA Running from the 3 Sanderson sisters and trying to warn others of plans to suck the lives from children
The Sanderson Sisters rock!!! I think this movie it awesome.It's about these 3 sister witchs. Sarah is the boy crazy/dumb blonde,Mary is the suck up, and Winifred is the meanest. They are caught and are hanged.
300 years later a dude named Max realeases them by lighting a candle. It's a comedy that you HAVE TO SEE!!!So funny and so much fun Hocus pocus is a must have for so many reasons.It's about three witches from the past that come to the future to suck the lives out of kids to stay young forever.The movie is funny and just as entertaining.Buy this for your kids now and I promise you'll love it too.
