Holiday Tradition For eight years, the Feast of the Holy Innocence, December 28, has had a special personal meaning for me; however reading this book has opened this beautiful feast day in ways I had never considered. My family now treats this book as a new, but very beloved, addition to our holiday traditions. This will be our third year reading it and our second year reading it as a read aloud so that even the youngest members of our family can enjoy it. Mr. Barry thank you for giving voice to the many families (the families of the Holy Innocents) whose cross we barely think of while joyfully celebrating and exchanging gifts.
mom loved it I have never read the book, but have seen the John Wayne movie. The book was for my 84yr old mother and she loved it . Thank you for putting out such a great book. The Shepherds' Prayer I found this audio book to be very entertaining and enjoyable while driving to and from work. I found myself sitting in my vehicle listening to this book a few minutes after I got home because it was so captivating. This is a very thought provoking fiction novel.New look into the Shepherd life One of the best quick read books i have read this Christmas Season. A new look at the life of shepherds.a BEAUTIFUL meditation I read this twice, one for the head and once for the heart. A great story for any time of year. Reinforces the biblical passages while taking the reader on a journey. Also a great story for anyone with adopted children or those who foster children.
