Jaguar Jaguar is a story of a boy named Jake. Jake went on a trip to the Amazon Forest to visit his dad, Doc, but then he ended up staying there for a very long time. Jake and his father were having the happiest time of their lives searching the Amazon for jaguars and other animals.
Later in the trip Jake and his dad's girlfriend Flanna went up into the canopy. They looked at the birds and bugs. There were huge spiders that could eat a bat or bird and there were a bunch of trees with snakes. Flanna had a platform that you can stand on and look at all the animals in the canopy. One time she stayed up there for 3 days. There are so many interesting trees, animals, and plants in the Amazon.
In the evening Jake would go into the forest to a place with a waterfall and a rock right near it. He would look at the waterfall and the view and have a great time. Some people do live in the forest and those people are Indians. They have been there for a very long time and no one has ever seen them before except for Jake and the crew.
One of Jake's favorite things to do was to go in the Morpho, which is a plane, and the Zodiac, which is a boat. Buzz is the one who taught Jake how to fly the Morpho.
In this world of mysteries there is a lake and under that lake Jake thinks is the lost city of Muribeca. In the lost city of Muribeca there is gold. The crew is trying to find it.
Jaguar Jaguar by Roland Smith
Jake Lansa is a 14-year-old boy who moved to Poughkeepsie, New York. He lives in a nursing home with his grandfather Taw. Jake's dad is a wildlife biologist who has been called to Brazil for a field project. Jake joins his father in Brazil but he is afraid his father is going to send him home.
Jake is an adventurous and curious boy. He likes to travel with his father around the globe. Jake is a very brave teenager. He is frustrated that his dad pays more attention to his work then he does to him. Jake joins his father on an expedition to Brazil to help him start a wildlife preserve.
Jake spends more time with adults and Jaguars then he does with kids his own age. Most of the adult he spends time with live in the Senior Center. He was very sad when his mom died.
I do not relate to Jake because he travels around the globe and I do not get to travel. I can relate to him a little because we both like animals.
I really liked the book because it had a lot of action andJAGUARE 5! My character is Jake. He is about 12 years old. He is living with his grand father in a nursing home. His father went on a trip to the Amazon rain forest to start a jaguar preserve.
Jake is not very outgoing. He doesn't do a lot of out door activities. His father goes on many trips. So Jake has barely enough time to do any activities.
Jake is a typical 12 year old. He wants to be a biologist. He wants to help save the big cats. He has a lot of fun helping Doc.
I like animals. Not as much as Jake does but I do still like animals. I liked the book. It was really cool because there was a lot of advancer. Jake was a grate character to read about.
