couldn't put down if my house was on fire! This is my first James Patterson book that I have read, and trust me, it won't be my last. I saw the movie first and thought it was pretty cool. I'm into this thing where I see a movie and if it's a book and I want to read it, then I just go out and buy the book. Well with this book, I could not stop reading it. The 2 and half page chapters filled with suspense just caught me in their web. If I could have, I would have read this book in one day. The more I read, the faster reader I become, but this time, I didn't want to read fast. I loved all the suspense and drama in this book and I had to fight with myself before I put it down and actually went to sleep. I have to admit, it is very graphic and disgusting at a lot of parts, things people wouldn't even dare show in a movie. But other than that, I thought it was amazing! It was very hard to sleep at night after reading some of it though. It scared me! The idea of a kidnapper/killer/rapist hiding behind the walls in your house is terrifying! A+, 10, ****! Great piece of work! END Perfect Suspense Just finished listening to this book and I found myself catching my breath. If I had to recommend a good suspense novel, this would be it. the suspense never stops from the first word and you are simply glued to the book wanting to find out what is going to happen next. Casanova and the Gentleman Caller have to be the most ruthless killers I have ever encountered in suspense literature. Monsters though they are, Patterson manages to make them seem highly attractive and desirable at the same time. I have to confess some of the sex scenes aroused me a bit but this was due to the readers ability to put you right there. I guess I'm morbid or something. The theory of Twinning was riveting and it gave some insight to these two psychos. Alex Cross was his usual best though one does kind of hope he gets a bit more then mere cuts and bruises while hunting down these killers. The house of horrors was well conceived and one could truly feel for the women being kept there. the audio production was top notch and you will find yourself finishing the book in just one sitting. I was kind of hoping that Casanova would get away in the end, that there would be a sequel but... well read or listen and you will find out what happens. You will need though to take a deep breath after you are done. His best- it will haunt you Kiss The Girls was my favorite James Patterson novel! I read this book a few years ago and still vividly remember the haunting story of a saddistic killer...This book got me hooked on Alex Cross, a detective I found very likable and whose life I became interested in. In this book his niece is one of the victims he's trying to save from an insane psychopath that is abducting girls. Alex is on a race against time to see if he can save her. For those who say that the characters in this book are not believable, I totally disagree. And as for the plot, I read approximately 100 books a year, and only remember the full plot of very few, and this is one of them- That tells me the story is memorable. It might not be deep-thinking, Pulitzer prize worthy, but most crime thrillers are not, that's not why people read them, they're for entertainment value. After reading this I picked up every Patterson book I could find...and I'm still a fan today- if that's not a recommendation for you, I don't know what is!
