THE CHARLIE BONE SERIES I really liked this book.This book is about a boy named Charlie Bone,who gets an extraordinary power.He has to go to a school called The Bloor's Acadamy,where he meets other kids who have different powers to.He has to learn how to control his power and use it for good(not evil).If you want to find out what happens next you'll have to read The Charlie Bone Series .The books in the series are Midnight for Charlie Bone,Charlie Bone and the Time Twister,Charlie Bone and the Invisable Boy,Charlie Bone and the Castle of Mirrors,Charlie Bone and the Hidden King,and there is a sixth book,but I don't know what it is called.You really need to read this series because it is really good.
midnight for charlie bone i really enjoyed this book. i am an elementary school teacher and love read alouds. i'm always looking for new books that both the students and i can get excited about. i went home and started reading charlie bone and couldn't put it down. it's very easy and smooth to read. it's imaginative, descriptive, and fun too. i am really enjoying it and intend to read the rest of the series and other jenny nemmo books.Teacher's Grade: B+ This is the debut novel in the Charlie Bone series, and is a very engaging and enjoyable book. The characters are vividly drawn, almost cartoonish in their simplicity, and are an entertaining mix of good/evil. The characters in this book seem to have been inspired by mixing J.K. Rowling with Roald Dahl!
The story itself zips right along, and should keep most readers riveted. The one problem I have with the writing is that the narrative leaps from event to event, and I sometimes had to turn back to see if I missed a page or two.
I will be purchasing more in the series, and do hope to read this to my class of 2nd graders this year.
